If your restaurant operates multiple point of sale systems, you may be able to connect each POS to MarginEdge so that you can get a complete picture of your total sales across all systems. You will also be able to export sales from each connected POS to your accounting system. Keep reading to learn about certain restrictions that apply.
Common Questions
What does it mean to support multiple POS system integrations?
When integrated to multiple POS systems, MarginEdge can combine the sales and labor data (where applicable) from all systems into your sales reports. Any time you see “sales” it will be combining all data across all POS systems. You can also export sales from each connected POS to your accounting system.
Which POS Systems can MarginEdge connect to?
MarginEdge maintains a robust list of supported POS integrations. To view the full list, check out this article here. See below for limitations on the combinations of certain POS systems.
Does MarginEdge integrate with any online e-commerce websites?
Yes! We integrate with Shopify and Square. If your restaurant uses another e-commerce site, reach out to help@marginedge to inquire about a new integration.
Does MarginEdge integrate with any 3rd party delivery companies?
We do not currently integrate with any 3rd party delivery companies, but hope to in the future.
Can I get PMIX data from multiple POS systems?
Yes! We can pull PMIX from each POS system you have connected. There are toggle filters on the PMIX screen to see your PMIX data by POS.
Note that if you are using different Revenue Centers within one POS system, all PMIX from all Revenue Centers will get pulled in, but you won't be able to tell which PMIX is from which Revenue Center and won't be able to filter on this.
What are the limitations?
1) MarginEdge cannot connect to two or more legacy based POS systems. A legacy POS system stores your data on-site on local servers and runs on a closed internal network as opposed to operating in the digital cloud. Examples of legacy POS systems include Aloha, POSitouch, Micros, and Focus.
2) MarginEdge cannot connect to two of the same types of POS under our multiple POS support.
HOWEVER, if you currently manage multiple point of sale systems, but all operate from the same company just under separate reports (for example a separate upstairs and downstairs POS account or a food truck that runs out of a brick and mortar location), you can contact help@marginedge.com to enquire about adding "multi-location support" for your POS.
