Taking inventory just got faster. You can now use your phone’s camera to scan a barcode and instantly locate that product on your count sheet – whether it’s liquor, wine, juice, or packaged food.
If you already use Freepour, your liquor bottle barcodes are automatically linked to your count sheet! That means you can start scanning right away instead of scrolling or typing to find each product.
If you’re not a Freepour user, you can still take advantage of barcode scanning. Simply scan the item, link the barcode to the correct product once, and every future scan will bring you straight to that item.

How to Scan Items
- Open your count sheet in the mobile app.
- Tap the Scan Barcode on the search bar.
- Center the barcode in the frame — the app will detect it automatically.
- If the barcode is already linked to a product, you’ll go straight to that item’s count screen.
Enter the count then tap the Checkmark to save!
If the barcode isn’t recognized, you’ll be prompted to link it to an item:
Link a New Barcode to an Item
- Use the drop down to search and select the correct item from your count sheet.
- Click "Review product details" to confirm how you count it (for example, 1 Gallon Jug or 750 mL Bottle).
Once ready, click "Link barcode" - Now it's ready for a count to be added!
- Next time you scan that barcode, it will automatically take you to this product.
If the barcode is recognized, but the item is not on the current count sheet, you can add that item to the count sheet.
Add a Linked Barcode Item to a Count Sheet
- Select “Add item to count sheet”
- Select the section, if applicable.
- Proceed with scanning and counting the new item on your count sheet.
(Note: To remove an incorrect barcode, open the product in the web app, scroll to the “Barcodes” section, and delete it.)
Tips
