Finding Recipes
Using the Navigation Menu, go to Recipes and clicking on any of the Recipe Categories.
This will provide you with the full list of all of your inputted recipes for each category.
From here, you can:
-
Filter/sort by Recipe Type and by Item Status
- Search using keywords in the search bar
-
Export your recipe list as a CSV or PDF (note this does not export the individual recipe details, just the list you see).
- Access individual recipes
Viewing Recipes
The easiest way to simply view your recipes in order to utilize them in the kitchen is through our App or on the web using our Recipe Viewer. This is a clean way to search, scale and view (without prices) every recipe you have. See this article for more information: Using the Recipe Viewer as Your Digital Binder
To view a recipe for copying, printing, or editing, navigate to the recipe category and click into a recipe by clicking on the recipe name. It will give you a quick overview of the recipe and from here you can click to edit, print, copy or view history. Keep reading!

Printing Recipes
You have two options to print your individual recipe. To access, click on the Recipe to open the summary page then click on the “Print” or “Print Recipe Card” button.
- The Recipe Card does not include any prices
- The Print button will generate a file that includes ingredient and recipe costs.
This is an example of a Recipe Card:
Bulk Printing
If you were looking to perhaps print and put them all in a binder, be sure to explore our Recipe Viewer feature -- it was designed precisely to be your digital (and always up to date!) “recipe binder”. It's viewable on any device - phone, tablet and computer.
But if paper is preferable, from the main Recipe - Menu, Prepared or Bar Items - page, you can select up to 50 recipes at a time and chose to the default print or print as a Recipe Card.
Copying/Duplicating Recipes
You have the ability to make a copy of any recipe. Click on the Recipe to open the summary page then from the "More Options" button click on the “Create Duplicate Recipe” choice. This is helpful if you want to use this recipe as a launch pad for another one. Simply click to Duplicate the recipe, give it a new name, and edit as needed.
View Cost History
If you have been uploading your invoices to MarginEdge for a while, that means we now have a pretty good idea of how your costs have changed over time. One way you can see this is on a recipe-by-recipe basis and see exactly how the ingredients costs have (or have not!) fluctuated.
